Dental office details!

It wasn’t long ago dental offices were closed nationwide. Since the summer, dental offices have been working hard!

The American Dental Association, the Centers for Disease Control and other organizations have guided dental offices to initiate strict protocols for the prevention of Covid-19, backed by continuous improvement.

Today, those protocols have now been in place for weeks and months and dentists have steadily improved procedures, growing more experienced merely by repeating them hour after hour, day after day.

Not everyone is in agreement, but experts believe it is generally safe to visit dentists who have adopted and are experienced in the new protocols. To help you decide, here are some video pieces that discuss the pros and cons of returning to the dentist.

Dr. Tara Narula discusses how dentists are working hard to preserve the safety of their patients and staff.

Is It Safe To Go To The Dentist During COVID-19? | Good Morning America

Dr. Jen Ashton answer viewers’ questions about the pandemic, and takes one about going to the dentist.

Dental Visits Down During Pandemic, Dentists Urging People To Stay On Track | KOAA-TV | NBC

The pandemic has caused patients to purposely delay their dental visits. KOAA-TV asks dentists to share their experiences and steps patients can take to get back on track with their appointments.

Is It Safe To Go To The Dentist During COVID-19, What To Expect | Whitney DiFoggio

Vlogger Whitney DiFoggio takes a thorough look at the new patient experience dentists have created to keep them safe.

Should YOU be going back to the dentist? The answer is probably yes! It’s a matter of weighing the risk of contracting COVID-19 versus the risk of ignoring your dental health for a prolonged period. Depending on your general health, your prevention habits and the condition of your teeth, the minimal risks outweigh the benefits of preventing serious dental issues from occurring down the road.
